A showcase of web applications I've built, alongside my academic research projects.
Applied R&D & Live Projects

Facial & Multimodal Emotion AI
A real-time emotion recognition platform utilizing cascaded neural networks for face detection and expression analysis. Developed for the UPRC Computational Biomedicine Lab, contributing to multiple scientific publications.

Computer Vision & AI Toolkit
A comprehensive computer vision suite combining classical algorithms (SIFT/ORB) with modern Deep Learning (YOLOv8). Features include real-time object detection, co-segmentation, and illumination-invariant change detection.

Greek Sign Language Translator
An interactive web application that translates Greek Sign Language (GSL) alphabet gestures in real-time. It extracts hand landmarks via MediaPipe and classifies them using a custom-trained neural network.

PCA Dimensionality Reduction
A cloud-based data science utility performing Principal Component Analysis (PCA) on user-uploaded datasets. Designed to provide quick, interactive data visualizations without the overhead of local Python environments.

Real-Time Biometric Tracker
A browser-based tracking application leveraging MediaPipe to detect and map facial meshes, hand joints, and full-body skeletal poses in real-time directly through the user's webcam.
Academic Research & Theses
Distributed IoT System for Healthcare & Smart Homes
A multi-year academic endeavor mapping my evolution from a Bachelor's foundation in hardware integration to an advanced Master's thesis focusing on distributed systems and telemedicine. Both systems aimed at utilizing microcontrollers to assist elders and manage smart environments in real-time.
Master of Science (MSc) Thesis
2018"Design and pilot development of a distributed system for remote real-time management of microcontrollers to assist elders / patients."
University of West Attica
Bachelor of Science (BSc) Thesis
2016"Design and deployment of an integrated system for the management of smart homes (microcontrollers / Arduino) remotely in real-time."
TEI of Athens
